Hello church family and friends.  Today I had a prayer request answered and I wanted you to know about it.  I have been in much prayer about our Kids Beach Club that we sponsor at Hughes Elementary. My specific prayer has been centered on the financing of this club which is $2500 for the year.  I knew that with the drop in tithes and offerings through the summer we would not be able to sponsor KBC this year.  This has been a great dark burden hanging over my head because I knew that it was such a great club in our school, teaching Jesus in the school.  My specific prayer has been “Lord if you send the money we will provide the necessary people for our Beach Club.”  I received information this morning from the Kids Beach Club office that Hawaiian Falls in Roanoke will be sponsoring our club for this year.  Thank you Jesus and thank you Hawaiian Falls!  We still need a few more people to help us with our club, so if you are interested in helping with our Beach Club please stay after church for a few minutes this Sunday as we meet and get a game plan together.  The Lord has done His part; it is time for us to do our part. I am not for sure what day we will have our club on but if you are interested please stay after baptism this Sunday.  I hope and pray that you rejoice with me in this answered prayer.

R.A.’s will be having our last splash night this evening at church.  So if your son or daughter plans on attending please have them wear their bathing suit and towel.  We are going to see if we can turn our play land into a water slide this evening.

Do you need to be baptized?  We are going to be baptizing this coming Sunday so if you are someone you know needs to be baptized please encourage them to come ready for baptism this Sunday.
